Welcome to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office Media Relations office. Our section serves as the center for public and media communications by disseminating information through the news media and publications.

The Media Relation's staff is responsible for gathering and distributing news to media outlets throughout the greater Kansas City area as well as across the State of Kansas, and the United States. These deputies respond to questions about the many Johnson County Sheriff’s Office public events, programs, public issues, and emergency events.

The Media Relations office is a multifaceted section with many responsibilities including: internal information dissemination through periodicals, designing multimedia productions, sheriff’s office function photography, maintaining the public web site content as well as answering questions from citizens and the media, writing press releases, and coordinating media events.

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office is dedicated to providing the public with information about who we are, what we do, why we do it, and how we do it. This information is simple for those in law enforcement to understand however we would also like the public to have these understandings through effective communications.
