At the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, people are our most important asset. We place a premium on the health and wellbeing of our staff as well as the community we serve. In order to help minimize the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Johnson County Sheriff's Office Criminalistics Laboratory Internship Program for Spring and Summer of 2021 is currently on hold.  Please check back during this evolving situation for updates and we thank you for your understanding.

Internship Opportunities

The goal of our internship program is to provide mutual benefit for the intern and our lab, through original experiments, secondary research projects and/or general laboratory tasks. With this in mind, the weekly time commitment to the internship is flexible; however, internships within the academic year generally require a 10 hour minimum commitment while summer internships require a 30 hour minimum commitment.
